Re[2]: T3 mud flaps (again)

There's some dude in Grants Pass, Oregon (that's pronounced 'orgun') who
sells them for $65. I had asked the list who wanted mud flaps and if there
was a big enough request I was going to ask the dude for a group/list
discount. Only four people responded. Not enough so no deal.

Don't buy the square mudflaps that you see advertised in the VW magazines
and in Rock Mountain Motor Works. They only work with non-Type III
vee-dubs. Trust me, I ordered a pair from RMMW because they advertised
them as fitting the T3 -- bullsh!@. They would fit if I made my own
mounting bracket...luckily they took them back without hassle.

For those of you who like details, here they are:
311 821 805 D 1 set of mud flaps black 360mm with brackets
     to Ch. No. 311 2108 457 option M290

311 821 805 E 1 set of mud flaps white 360mm with brackets

311 821 811 D Mud flap left with bracket, black 360mm
     to Ch. No. 311 2108 457 option M290

     from Ch. No. 311 2108 458 option M74

311 821 811 E Mud flap left with bracket, white 360mm

311 821 812 D Mud flap right with bracket, black 360mm
     to Ch. No. 311 2108 457 option M290

361 821 812 D Mud flap right with bracket, 410mm
     from Ch. No. 311 2108 458 option M74

Option M74: Mud flap, rear from Ch. No. 311 2108 458

Option M290: Mud flaps, rear up to Ch. No. 311 2108 457
    Models: 311-318, 361-368 The Netherlands
The letters "D" and "E" are modification letters (even the simplest of items vsn
get re-engineered).

Print this out or archive it to a CD 'cause I don't want to type it in again!

P.S. On the scale of 1-5, 1 = easy, 5 = difficult. Anyone see option M634?
It's labeled "For police use". It's an "Emergency light 12 volt up to Ch. No.

I have installed three sets of Type III rear mud flaps (and love them!).
...
The entire process takes 20-30 minutes and is a "1" on the difficulty fac=
tor (from 1 to 5).
I've always bought the black ones with the white VW logo. I've paid from=
$50-100 per pair for new ones. Gets my vote for an inexpensive, easy =
to find true-T3 accessory!
