Howdy Volks, traffic has been on the rise lately on type-3 -- a good thing, to be sure, but with the increased traffic I want to remind folks to be on their best behavior. Couple of suggestions: o Avoid quoting in great detail the message that you're replying to. Select a few key lines to refresh our memories (if necessary), and axe the rest. Delete! Delete! o Avoid repsonses that consist of "me too" or "yeah" as their only content. This doesn't really add to the dialogue. :) o DEFINITELY don't do both of the above at the same time. ;) o Consider replying directly to the sender only, *if* it's appropriate. Please do continue to send all group-oriented messages to the whole list. o Avoid sending a reply to the original poster *and* to the list. o If you log in & find a bunch of messages, please read through them all to check if somebody else has already answered a question. This goes particularly for stuff like web site addresses, phone numbers, etc. We always lose some subscribers when traffic takes a big increase. Remember: "Everything in moderation--even moderation." ;) Cheers, -Greg '69 & '71 Squarebacks '63 Beetle
