Are your new parts Bosch? I have had trouble with people who used
cheap (K-Mart) parts.
Everything I see in your description looks okay. Did you adjust the
points with a dwell meter? Using a feeler gauge can sometimes be
tricky, but the dwell meter reading is the correct one. You should
know, however, that the dwell often changes between the value you get
while cranking and the running dwell. Adjust the points to give
around 50 deg dwell while running.
