About 2 weeks ago my pride and joy, Benny, was rear-ended while my husband was sitting at a stop light. So we rushed our other '69 squareback to the road, finally complete after months of work. He is a beauty, hubby (being a body-man) made sure the body was perfect, absolutely no rust, dings, etc. He gave it a yellow paint job with pearl ghost flames, wetsanded, buffed, the whole 9 yards. On his way to work Friday morning (the 13th) he was sitting, stopped, when the car in front of him all the sudden put it in reverse and backed into him. Wasn't too bad, but ruined a perfect fender and flame job (estimated @ 14.3 hours of labor). Hopefully the chump will pay for the damages, as he promised, but who knows? The worse part is that we were taking him to his first show (in West Palm Beach) in a week. Needless to say if we go it will not be in a squareback. Now we have 2 beautiful wrecked '69 squarebacks sitting in our carport. Damn. the end sqr69 & Benny (69 squareback)
