Hello, I've been looking for a Fastback or Squareback for sometime now, and finally found one. My intentions were to get a Fastback or Squareback, and turn it into a Pro-streeter type car. My new project is a 73 Fastback with a 4 speed. I really wanted a automatic, because I'll be drag racing at the local track with it, and need the consistency of an auto. The car hit a tree in the front, and the previous owner cut off all the sheet metal, too place a fiberglass front end on it. Luckly, that works great for me, as this car would probally end up as a parts car, or scrap metal if I didn't get it. I know, that some of you will probally not like that I'm "cutting" on the car, but as I see it, the car was doomed anyway, so I might as well save it anyway I can. Anyway, here are my plans for project "Resto-Racer" One-piece front end (because its all ready cut off) Lightened floor pan Stock glass with cal-look rubber Stock exterior trim Automatic tranny (modified valve body, and torque converter) Stock body color 2007cc engine 78mm Demello crank 90.5 pistons/cylinders Engle 125 cam Berg rods 40x35.5 ported & polished heads Weber 44's Dog house fan shroud etc. Hopefully, the car should run in the 13's when I'm done. I've got most of the engine parts, and now I'm going to start on the body. Hopefully be able to get some photos on somebody's web page. See ya Scott Morrow Kansas City, MO smorrow@gbutler.com
