A lot of the parts are the same but there were quite a few mods to the FI from 68 to 71. None of the fenders are the same. I have some 72 body parts I would be willing to trade for some 68 body parts. I am looking for all four fenders. No wheels from a 67 type one should be a wide five pattern. These won't work. If the 67 has been converted to four lug them might work. Keep in mind that type one wheels stick out farther because of the backspacing. Depending on what size tires you run they might rub if you use them. If you stick with 165's you will be ok. One has no motor or trans, the other is complete, but the motor is locked-up. He wants $350.00 for both. I have a '71 squareback, and am wondering if there is enough compatibility between parts on the '68 and '71 to make it wort my while. My '71 is fuel injected, and both the '68 models are fuel injected. Does anyone know if the wheels on at '67 beetle will fit a '71 squaerback? Thank, Stuart Neil Chattanooga, TN
