Okay, I've seen this reference to "cool tins" and understand that they are for
the T3 engine only. But what are they? Would my '72 have them? What do they
look like and should I install them if I don't have them? Do they really work?
Anything to help cool my engine I'll take.

If memory serves properly, there are 13 pieces of engine tin. In order
of assembly:
2 small pieces above the pushrod tubes. These go in before the tubes.
We hot-weather folks are usually better off with the aftermarket "cool
tins."
