Last time I took the car out I thought I«d finally got it right - the
engine purred the tranny shifted perfectly . . .
I took it out this morning and disaster struck. After a few minutes
drive, it would no longer shift out of first.
For the last couple of weeks, the tranny has held each gear longer and
longer. This was a good thing, I thought, because previously it had let
go too early. Now it won't shift at all.
The only previous time I have seen anything like this is when I managed
to break the governor. I fixed it and all was well. Is this likely to be
the problem this time too? Is anything else possible.
The oil level appears to be OK.
