As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have a "How-To" on my web site.
Read it throughly, and understand what I mean. Print this out, and have
it with you when you attempt the install.

I have been installing VW glass for about 40 years, and I do not
remember ever breaking a windshield.
I do recommend one tool to help assist in the install. (Now don't let
your wife hear this) I use a Tupperware "Orange peeler". It is a little
plastic tool that the give away as door prizes at the parties, that is
designed to peal an orange. If you can't come up with one of those, a
smooth plastic piece about the size of a popsicule stick will help too.
