[T3] air conditioning

My 1967 Squareback has an air conditioning system (I am living in Thailand)
with a rather inelegant evaporator mounted centrally under the dash. I am
now planning to improve the situation. The shop I am asking to do help me
with this suggests they make a panel under the dash with outlets and move my
existing evaporator further down under the dash (out of sight) and connect
some ducts to transport and distribute the air to the outlets in this new
panel. Sounds like a plan to me but now I am thinking what about the design
of this panel and the type of outlets I should have them install. And I also
would like to add a bracket for a radio.

I found a manual for a Type 3 air conditioning system on The Samba
(http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/literaturet3airconditioning.php
) and I really like the design of this panel. Does anybody have any
specifications or information about this which could help me design a
similar panel. Also, I would be really interested to know if anybody knows
where I could find a used or new panel or where I might be able to get the
same outlets?

Thanks in advance!

Rik
