I would like to know the offset for the > Beetle and for Type 3. Type 3 offset was 46 mm. Beetle wheels varied a LOT, and I believe there was actually one year of Ghia that also used 46 mm offset. The details are in the introduction to the brake and wheel chapter of the Bentley Beetle manuals. Except for that one year of Ghia, I believe Beetle wheels varied from 34 to 41 mm. There were also minor variations in type 3 wheels over the years, but those don't actually affect anything. The offset is usually stamped into the wheel center disk. Look at the raised areas between lug bolt holes. You'll find the VW logo, a circle with year and month, and a 2 digit number. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
