I recently acquired my third Squareback. Found this '68 in field in Easter Oregon. It had been sitting there 8 or so years. PO had taken rear fenders, bumper, etc., off and planned on a full restoration. All body parts are in pretty good original condition. Interior is stripped. Finally committed to getting it running. I decided to remove the fuel tank and clean it and did so. Removed the electric fuel pump below the tank and blew out the lines from the engine forward. After reassembly I cannot get it to run and wondered if I had reinstalled the fuel pump incorrectly. I've checked Bentley but not sure I have the pump connected properly. There are about 5 hose connections and I not sure that I have reconnected to right lines in chassis. In any case it won't start, but will run briefly when I spray ether into the intake plenum. Should I remove the injectors and clean them? Probably ought to check for fuel getting to the engine compartment first. What's your advice?
