And here's a weird idea. Has anyone ever tried to run two so that when one breaks you can just remove the broken one and connect the fittings of the other?
You mean every 25 years or so when it breaks?
risk. Just change it every 25 years for a new one, maybe. They might rub on each other and wear out sooner or jam the throttle open etc.
That's what I was wondering about and was hoping someone had tried it.
As far as feeding the replacement is concerned, I've had to pull the front end of the guide sleeve out while feeding the cable through the engine tinware, but it then fits in OK - it's pretty flexible.
