If your anywhere they have salted all the beams youll find will be rusted out under the clamps or under the ears. Even in the west most of the beams have rotted thru by now, check it over carefully and pull the torsion bars out to make sure the bushings haven't worn into the arms and that the torsion bars are concentric in the arms indicating that they aren't bent. Good beams in the Northeast have been non-existant for 20 years. Keith Ok folks it looks like I'll be scouring the local pick & pull yards for a later front beam. What other parts will I need/ Should I take the MC? Mine is a single circuit 19.05mm. What adjustments will have to be made for this job. Thanks for the info. >Ah, but yours DOES; you just need to study your Bentley manual a bit >more. ;-) Jim you're going to get me to read that book cover to cover sooner or later aren't you? -- John 65 1500S square (Weezer) 05 Jetta Just cruisin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
