<x-rich>Fellows, Right after the start and with the shifter in "drive" (my 72"Squareback is with auto trans) if I gradually depress the accelerator the car first doesn't move but then suddenly surges forward. It is only after several shiftings and moves back and forth in a driveway I am able to get really smooth forward move of the car. I do also observe pretty sharp transmission shifting the gears while driving. The hose attached to the vacuum unit has on an opposite end a nylon T-fitting attached which is then connected to 2 ports on the air distribution box. One (the upper port) has a restricting orifice in it, while the other doesn't have any restrictor. These connections to the air box do puzzle me. I can't understand the reason why two ports are used. Is this a reason why the trans behaves the way it does? Or maybe T-fitting is attached to wrong air distribution box ports? The trans had its strainer cleaned, 3 liters of new Dexron II installed. The vacuum unit is also new, right from the box. Bentley shows that the vacuum unit can be adjusted. But why, when and how? No word is there. What the adjustment is for? I am sure the list expert have the answers and their help is appreciated. <fontfamily><param>Helvetica</param>Kind regards Ark Mirvis </fontfamily> </x-rich>
