Very well said about the 009 Hal! Ive never heard of anybody getting Webers really working properly with our engines. They seem to be a poor match but Im not nearly enough of a carb expert to say that it *Cant* be done. However... look at it this way, with a stock engine you wont do any better than stock carbs performance wise, they are already set up and jetted properly and require the least learning curve to get working properly. Rebuild kits are readily available and rebushing is commonly done too, and the linkage is much more well behaved. Webers will at minimum require A LOT of trial and error. Keith > 2. Those are for the distributor vacuum advance. I'm using the port on the left-side carb in my Bus and have the other carb's port capped off. Works fine. Please, for the love of all that's holy, don't use an 009 distributor. The new ones are absolute garbage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
