I believe the only difference between your system and the later
system which started in '68 was that the later breather box is a
larger squarish one. One of the functions of this box is to allow any
gas flow to slow down and let the oil mist settle out. Then the
settled oil can drain back into the crankcase, both via the breather
passage and via the drain down to the filler pipe.

I've never cut one of those boxes open, but it's possible that there
are some baffle plates in there which help the oil mist condense.

I believe I have a spare 68-71 (that's the one you want) breather box
which you could have for cheap. Whereever you get one, you will want
to clean it out well inside. I find that they are often almost
completely blocked with decades of sludge. Note also the little drain
hole down inside, just next to the top of the attaching "bolt." Clean
it out.

Also, where the breather box attaches to the breather stand, above
the attaching "bolt" there should be a deeply dished insert/washer
and then a large flat washer. These also help

Breather aside, compression of 95 sounds low. What are you using for
P/Cs?

BTW, I WILL be making the trip to Invasion 06, so, if possible,
please set aside a pair of T-shirts for me, 1 men's large, 1 men's
small.
