Check and make sure your breather parts are clear and correct for your

I have Sophy's original 1966 small breather on there. The only difference is that I used a late oil filler tube with the drain return from the breather. I have the breather plumbed into it instead of just the little rubber one-way flapper valve on the end.

Maybe that is forcing all the crankcase pressure to go into the air cleaner since the bottom of that tube is also pressurized by the crankcase. Hhhmmmmm. That might explain why I have a leak at the soft joint between the down tube on the breather and the oil filler pipe sometimes.

What do the newer cars do that have this arrangement? PCV valve?
