I'm guessing this means that the starter is no > good. Could it be anything else. There are several possiblities, including a bad ignition switch starter contact, or just a wire that fell off. First check to make sure that it still won't start. Sometimes they have a hard time when hot. If your '70 is MT then the starter is the same as a beetle. If it's AT, then you need a more special starter, which may be the same as the beetle autostick starter. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
