There's usually a lot more play at the extremes of the steering - something to do with the design of the box. When adjusting, take note of the proper way to do it; ISTR one is done with the steering wheel 90 degrees from ahead. It's all in the Bentley manual. Another idea is to clean out the grease from the steering box as far as possible from the end plug, and refill with fresh. One of our club members said it improved the silkiness of operation tremendously. Dave.
