Well, most of it is real, so you can't go too far wrong.

Yosemite and Lake Tahoe are beautiful but might be crowded this time of 
year. Your drive down the coast will be pretty spectacular, especially 
if you have the time to take Highway 1 right along the coast. There's a 
scenic side road off Highway 101 through the coastal redwoods that's 
worth a slight detour. Or, if you prefer the ridiculous to the sublime, 
you might want to drive though a tree:
