Happy New Year to all. I'm back in port (Yokosuka) and finally got the SB thru the base and local economy to get it registered. Alright! Thanks Jim for the back up light harness, and Bob for the timely carburetor tips to get my doubles calibrated right. Say, is the relay that Lori replaced the other day available in any catalogs? I think I've got the same problem in my '68 over here in Japan. While I was running around the various buildings in Yokohama doing the paperwork shuffle the car decided it didn't want to start. I assumed it was the battery so I had just replaced it before getting underway last time since the car occasionally wouldn't start. A couple guys started to give me a push after thinking it had now become the starter but as we got ready to push it it fired right up. And this morning it started right up after not doing anything for me for three days. Being a '68 with dual carbs it must have been converted at some point so does that change the relay I need? Hope someone is still awake in that part of the world to answer so I can order one before we shut down the computers tomorrow for upgrades. Tks, Gary '68 SB ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
