Im not sure what other routes have been planed but
If you leave Russ' on Tuesday morning you wont make it in time, Leaving
Indianola on Monday morning is the only way to get to the BBQ on Thursday
eve, otherwise you get there Friday evening and miss the first day of the
invasion and the trip to Crater lake.
Some folks may want to do 700mi a day but personally, Im not going
to push myself that hard this time.

I thought we were leaving Russ's place on tuesday morning? With monday as a
travel day from Detroit/Toledo to Russ's. John J. have a rough intinery
where
I was going to meet him in Battle Creek on monday. I had thought about
leaving
here on sunday though, and getting to Russ's house on a sunday evening and
taking a liesurely trip across country. : ) I've been across country a few
times, but never stopped to smell the roses so to speak. :O We'll have to
wait and
see on which route would work the best.
