[T3] window installing

We are about to install the front and rear windows on the Notch. I read Russ' "how-to" and wondered what the consensus is on doing it yourself. Also, Russ made no mention of using a sealant and I wondered, given the recent discussion on leaky windows, would you recommend using a sealant? We have good glass and new West Coast Metric seals. Thanks.
