If the engine has a build-up of oil and dust underneath, it's probably 114,000 miles. If reasonaby clean, it might be 14,000. Check the seat wear - you would not expect any signs of wear at 14,000. Check the dtae on the odometer, it should match the production date pretty well. If you can't find a production date, use my www.hallvw.clara.co.uk/dating.htm page to work it out. Other things such as steering wheel, pedal rubbers, carpet, etc might help too. If you saw Ron Mann's 17,000 (I think) genuine miler at Hershey, you will know the feeling when you're seeing a genuine low-mileage car. Dave.
