It failed in my '67.
Neither the PO when he put the engine in, nor the engine assembler from whom he bought it lubed it,
and the PO sold me the car with like 100 miles on the engine. by the time I got it home (80 mi) it was screetching with clutch usage, and when I got it to a mechanic and got it apart, The little needle bearings were destroyed, flopping all over.
