Not sure if it is the same type of motor as my bus, but on my '65 bus-you are able to take the motor mechanism out. Disassemble the motor-and there is some 'universal' type grease to lubricate everything. I did this to mine, and cleaned the old grease out-and repacked with new grease. Ran much more quietly. The old greas had kind of hardened-not sure it it was due to aging or becoming contaminated with dirt/dust over the years. Maybe you can do the same to a T3 wiper motor? -Kevin -----Original Message----- From: Smith, Ethan Nicholas [mailto:ENSMITH@southernco.com] Anybody know how to tell if your wiper motor is dying? Mine works--- really slow and makes the generator light comes on. Any ideas Ethan 71 squareback. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
