Now I KNOW this guy is using DOT 5! ;-) Ive got a .01 and .1uF cap across my contacts and there OK after a couple years. There does seem to be alot of inductance in the brake light circuit but my switch failed mechanically and not contact wise. One interesting thing that Ive always noticed with my Squareback... if holding the brake pedal just very lightly, so the switch is just making contact... it arc's or something and cuts out the FM oscillator in my stereo. No Music on any station! Been this way for 17 years and the switch has never failed! Im still running DOT 3 on this car though.
