[T3] Jerky acceleration- the answer?
<x-flowed>I measured the accelerator pump stroke on the carbs and found the LH one
was not pumping so much, just a half of the RH one. I disassembled and
cleaned the passages and jet and re-measured the amount they dispense
which is now around 0.5cc each, exactly within spec (0.35-0.55ccs). It
now accelerates better and seems to have lost the jerkiness too.
Thanks to whoever suggested that maybe they weren't dispensing balanced
amounts, you got it right! Maybe the blockage was less obstructive when
the pedal was floored and that was why it never seemed to have problem
on hard acceleration?
So I don't think I need to fit the 009 again, because it seems as though
it wasn't ignition after all. Unless it's just fooling with me and will
come back later.........
Anyway, thanks to all for the help. Its so nice to drive when it's
running properly.
