Re: [T3] Loss of power + muffler explosion = dead on the freeway. Thoughts?

Once on the side of the freeway I discovered that I didn't have adequate tools to perform
a real compression test, but I was able to turn the engine completely over by hand
[turning the generator pully without tools] several times with the plugs installed. I
recall the engine being MUCH harder to turn, so I'm sort of leaning on the more devasting
prognosis.

The dizzy felt fine, gas pressure was fine and electrical appeared fine. It was cold and
noisy, so I'll be the first to admit I may have overlooked some small detail.

When I get back from the holiday, buy the car back out of tow/storage fees [I'm betting]
and have a closer look I'll let you know what I find. Car picks a lousy time to school me,
but that happens.
