These carbs are good choices, so you should stick with them. You have a simple problem with one of those carbs and you should just take it apart and figure out what it is. If you want a manual, the Haynes is the best for this. None of this is rocket science, and figuring it out will be much easier than starting over. It also teaches you a little about the parts you are planning to live with for the next few years. Don't switch to the progressive carb, there's no progress to be made in that direction. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
