When you mentioned this at the time, I searched for pictures of Type 3 
gauges and found some regular Type 3s with the same icons as mine, so it is 
not a Type 34 thing. Since I know that my car is a very early '69, and I 
also know that later 1969 Type 34s had the other icons, and a red oil light, 
I came to the conclusion that all early '69 Type 3s had the same icons as my 
car, and that they were changed on the whole range some time during the 1969 
model year.
