This is measured round the max circumference of a T3 pulley starting at the centre of the TDC notch, which on my original '64 pulley is a smooth curved notch. The other timing marks on my '64 pulley are 3 'T shaped' grooves cast in it just over half an inch to the right. The left hand one is 7.5 degrees, the second is 10 degrees and the third is 12.5 degrees.
My car is now happily (at last) running on the original 64 only ZV/JCU4R3 distributor that Russ was recommending. And Russ, following your info, I was able to order the correct dizzy cap new from a Bosch agent. How cool is that after 41 years!
