I couldn't get it to fit the way you describe, depending on what hole I put 
it in, it is either blocked by the generator or the carb.

It did fit leaning forwards, and the wires fit into it, but they were a bit 
tight, and looked odd. To top it all, the damn thing nicked the insulation 
of one of the wires slightly when I put it in or took it out. I think it's 
OK, as it's not very deep.

Could this be an FI only part? Even better, does anyone have a picture of 
the way it's supposed to fit?
