I know mostly nothing about oversize carbs, but I've seen this sort of 
problem, and in your place I'd be looking for overfueling from the 
acceleration circuit. Try leaning that out a bit and see if it doesn't 
improve.

If you've got a mechanical-advance-only distributor, particularly an 
009, that's a likely contributing factor.
