Well put Jim! The big advantage of a generator to me is ease of repair... there isnt much other than brushes to go wrong in them so if it craps out somewhere it can be fixed easily. and yes... with all that power stuff I have no problems and still get nearly 10 years out of a standard battery. Heck! I even have an extra fusebox to handle it all... and my headlights are "rewired" to keep the low beams on when switching to high.... I think the Square has the best lights of any of my cars.
