One spade lug is connected to the big 8mm stud that the battery connects to, the second stud is where you connect the ign sw wire to.


Jim, comparing what you wrote to my starter leaves things a bit muddled for me.

Well, there are three spade lugs. Two are doubled up on one electrical connection on one side of the solenoid's end. The third spade connector, electrically different from the first two, is on the opposite side.

Now, none of the spade lugs have continuity with the big 8mm stud that connects to the battery.

However, the double spade lug has continuity with the 8mm stud that runs into the body of the starter.

Which side receives the ignition switch signal?
