	What you could do instead is to spend the same amount of 
money each time to nearly fill your almost-empty tank.  When gas is 
expensive, you buy less; when it's cheaper, you get more for the same 
cost.  I think this is called "dollar-cost averaging", and I recall 
that it would save money in the long run over filling to the top each 
time.

	Of course, it also may tend to average out to slightly more 
frequent trips to the gas station.
