The pitch of the teeth is approx. the same, so add 21 more teeth and you need a slight larger flywheel. > > Looking at CIP's website, they list 180mm clutch stuff for 62-65 Types > 3s and 200mm clutch stuff for 67-73 Type 3s. My '64 Ghia was a virgin when I pulled the engine, and it is 200mm. > > I will pull both starters tomorrow and compare. It will have the same number of teeth, IIRC. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '64 T34 (not running) '65 T1 (not running) '05 KIA Sorento SUV russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
