[T3] Electric fuel pump w/manual: How to?
<x-flowed>My carb'd engine is running the stock mechanical fuel pump. She spends
most of her days in the garage. So on the days I do want to drive her I
have to spend several rounds of cranking the engine over before I'll get
fuel to the carbs. And I have to make sure the battery is topped off
otherwise it dies and I gotta put it on the charger :-(
What I would like to do is install a cheap-o electric fuel pump on a
momentary switch. When I need to fill the carbs I will simply press the
button for the necessary amount of time (to be determined once it's all
installed and tested). Once the carbs are filled I would then simply
start the car normally. The electric pump is ONLY for filling the
carbs, nothing more!
Suggestions? Oh, and employ the KISS method -- Keep It Simple Stupid :-p
