Re: [T3] Electric fuel pump w/manual: How to?

WHat year is your fuel pump? After about '64 they have a built-in anti-siphon feature, before that there was a separate doohickey on the fuel line.

I'm a little surprised, though, to hear about this sort of trouble. I can park mine for a month and start up on the third turn of the crank after one squirt of the pedal. The carbs should not drain themselves -- if they do, you've got fuel in your oil, there's nowhere else for it to go. But I can't think what sort of fault would allow even that. So I'm led to the anti-siphon, but that only matters to the pump and the lines up to the carbs. Whatever's going on at the pump, you should still have plenty of fuel in the carbs to get started. Have you checked for fuel in the carbs after some downtime?
