<x-flowed>I found a pic of the Type 3 VR in the Bentley manual. It appears to be at 
the rear of the under-seat area, facing upwards. Is that right?

Mine is screwed to the front wall of the under-seat area, facing backwards, 
so it seems Type 34s are indeed different. If it were going to touch 
anything, it would be the floor, and it's nowhere near it.
