Re: [T3] New VR Warning

<x-flowed>I found a pic of the Type 3 VR in the Bentley manual. It appears to be at the rear of the under-seat area, facing upwards. Is that right?

Mine is screwed to the front wall of the under-seat area, facing backwards, so it seems Type 34s are indeed different. If it were going to touch anything, it would be the floor, and it's nowhere near it.

Is the VR in a different place in the Type 3 than the Type 34?

I've got one of the new-type VRs, and I don't think there's any way it can
touch anything.

I don't know.

Ours are under the left side of the back seat, kind of up on a low ledge there
which puts it rather close to a wall. I can imagine that the distance to the
wall might vary. I don't know if those holes were pre-punched in the body
panels, or if they might have been drilled on the assembly line. There's
usually a small piece of vinyl pasted against that side wall, but I can't see
that it served any useful purpose.

Does this sound like yours is the same?

Could you check yours sometime? Just check to see if there is voltage on the
upper body when the engine is running.
