Sorry, I've been trying to catch up on the Tour de France tapes that a friend has been passing on to me, so I've been lax in my nighttime internet activities. I checked the microfilm, and the A version started with the '71 model year. I looked for my new early purchase, just to compare it to the late version in my driveway, but I can't seem to figure out where I put it. This means that so far, I can't tell you whether the pedal got bigger or smaller in '71, or by how much. Does anyone else know? I know that early pad is around here somewhere, but I spent some time on sunday cleaning up and "organizing" so I just have to remember where I "organized" it. ;-) -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
