I only say that, because laquer still needed to be clear coated, even back in the day. :O But since your pan numbers probably don't match your new body number, you could very easily go with a Base Coat Clear Coat system (BCCC). I went this route on my Notch, because I was doing a color change (from Ruby red to a custom tinted blue metallic), and it was easier for me to get the color in ALL the little hiding places that you can currently see (judgeing from the pics posted). That and I'm more used to working with the BCCC systems. The nice thing about BCCC, is that you can actually do a section of the car at a time, and it should ALL match. I liked it for doing the inside of the trunks and dash area, along with the door jams, then the area under the fenders before doing the outside. It worked great for me doing mine this way.
