MattS=> would a factory paint job increase the value => of my notch ... ? Factory-style paint -- single-stage Glasurit -- will give a different look than a 'modern' base-coat-clear-coat job. It's a detail that most people won't notice consciously, but there's a difference in the 'feeling' you'll get from it, the younger paint styles clearly stating that it's not stock (whether or not you see stockness as a good thing). While I didn't use it with mine, I'm personally fond of the stock paint look. It fits the design of the car like a tailored glove. But as for value, the quality of the job matters, and to a lesser extent the color, but the paint style doesn't at all, I wouldn't think, even if you were planning an otherwise completely stock resto. It would be the very rare buyer who'd be concerned enough about whether you used Glasurit with the right code for the year to pay more for it.
