It is common for both of those parts to be gone by now, but you should make sure that your gas tank has a vent. The OE steel vent lines will be completely blocked off by rust by now, so you will need to make an alternate. The best place to lead the alternate is down the hole that is created when you remove the rubber plug that is to the LF of the gas tank. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
