The first thing I would try would be to just unplug the elecrical plug that goes into the cold start valve. You should also get in the car, turn the key ON, and verify that you hear the fuel pump run for about 1 second and then turn off. The first item may actually seem to cure your problem, but if it does, it points to some other work that needs to be corrected. The second item will simply point you toward something that may need to be corrected. Both problems are wiring errors. Let us know what you find and we can go from there. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
