This is a really confusing topic. Even VW and Bosch don't disagree on the 
numbers. I resolve the problem by just referring to them by their location.

Yes, the head temp wire on the 68-9 is particularly troublesome. When I rebuild 
those I try to use a later head with the sensor topside, and either make a new 
hole in the sheet tin or use later tin. Many replacement heads have both sensor 
bosses.
