The resistor that was mentioned is a 250 ohm, 1/2 watt, in series with
the head temp sensor. And yes, richens the mixture across the whole
band. Somplace, I have the part number for that resistor from VW. There
was one on Ebay once, but someone beat me out of it.
The people that yank the FI off and put carbs on, never drove a good
running FI T-3.
