I have looked through every manual I have here, and the only time they
reference the 225mm dimension, is with the dual circuit brakes. And it
is for just the reason Dave mentions. Yes, that plate is part of the
body, but the master cylinder bolts to the frame.
As for the length of the dual circuit pushrod, the dimension are given
as 149.5 +/- 0.5mm, so I don't think that is a misprint. I do think
Jim's pushrod is off at 153mm.
